SMS (Sinch)

Configure Sinch SMS delivery with callback webhooks.

Prerequisites

  • A Sinch account with SMS API access
  • A Sinch service plan and API token

Webhook Secret The HMAC secret configured for callbacks on the service plan

Configuration

  1. Navigate to Settings → Credentials in the dashboard
  2. Click Add Credential and select Sinch
  3. Enter your Service Plan ID, API Token, Webhook Secret, and From Number
  4. Click Save

Configure the callback URL in Sinch to receive delivery receipts:

  1. Go to Sinch Dashboard → SMS → Service Plans
  2. Set the callback URL to: https://connect.ataca.io/v1/incoming_webhooks/sinch_sms (BYOK: append ?tenant=<org>)
  3. Configure HMAC callback authentication on the service plan with the same secret you entered in Connect

Sinch signs each delivery report with HMAC-SHA256 over the body, nonce, and timestamp. Connect verifies the signature and rejects reports that do not match. Without a webhook secret every report is rejected.

Delivery receipts confirm whether the SMS was delivered or failed.

BYOK

Each organization can use its own Sinch credentials to send from different phone numbers or service plans.
